A little candlelight goes a long way.

When is the last time you ate dinner by candlelight? Do you remember the tone it set? How those flickering lights helped soothe your soul? Why don't you turn off the overhead lights this evening, and light those candles.

Whether it's pizza or pasta, salad or sirloin, eating by candlelight is one of our family's favorite things to do. It allows the hectic pace of the day to fizzle, and allows conversation to flow - gracefully. It also gives the appearance of a beautiful, calm atmosphere - even on those days/weeks when cleaning was the furthest thing from reality

Enjoy, and let me know how it went.

We enjoy this too. :o) When our children were old enough to actually light the candles, it became an even bigger treat. :o) Something else that we enjoy, is drinking out of 4 special glasses. I bought them years ago at Pier 1 and I only bought four. One for each of us. We might put apple juice, water, and on special occasions, a sparkling drink (non-alcoholic). I love seeing the delight in our children's eyes when they ask to use the glasses! Even though they are teens, they still enjoy how special that is!
